A Possibility...

So this past tuesday, I had a pretty busy day! I went down to Salt Lake City to visit Primary Childrens Hospital for a job interview. The job is a position as a Patient Care Technician on the Surgical Unit! I can tell you right now, if I don't get this job, I'm gonna be kind of bummed! Since I got there early, one of the nurses put me in the break room to wait for the guy that was supposed to pull me in for questioning! There were 2 girls in there and we talked and they told me about the job and how much they LOVED being there! One of them said, "I told them 5 years ago in my interview that I was going to become a nurse, but since I got this job, it's been too much fun and I don't think I ever want to become a nurse!" That was kind of uplifting and some of the experiences they told they had had that day sounded pretty awesome!
Then the guy, Jared, came and took me on a tour of the floor. Oh my goodness! He made it sound so much more fun! Taking care of the little heart babies, taking kids on wagon rides, playing with them, etc! Of course, there are a few things that are the reason they hire PCT's, I'd also be taking vital signs, checking trach tubes, feeding tubes, and even sometimes taking care of anorexic, or the rare suicidal, kids. Then we made it into his office and he asked me the routine questions about past jobs and such. All in all, I felt it went pretty well! He said he had a few more interviews to go through, and that I would hear back by the end of this week, maybe the beginning of the next. So cross your fingers on that one! I'd probably move up to Salt Lake if I got the job which would be pretty fun, so I'm hoping for a good chance in getting that position!
Then after my interview, I drove back to the awesome Utah Valley to get ready for a date with a missionary I had written the whole time he was out serving the Lord! His name is Kevin and i'm sure a few of you who read this have heard about him! I'd talked to a few people that knew him a little better than what his letters suggested he was like, and was braced for what I might encounter on this date! He came and picked me up at 6:45 and took me to Del Taco's Taco Tuesdaywhile we waited for the other coupld to join us. It was pretty fun, we hada little conversation while we were there, I was feeling kind of tired by then and was really nervous about the whole date, so I totally held back on some stuff and was a little more quiet than usual, but he didn't seem to mind! We then met up with our friend Tim and his date at a local Hollywood video and chose Vantage Point was the movie of the night! (Kevin had told me he didn't want to watch a movie I'd already watched, making the date a little boring, so we had to go find a movie that the girls hadn't seen). We took off to his house to have our root beer floats, watch the movie, and then we listened to the boys talk about things that happened on their missions. It was pretty fun and when he dropped me off he said we should do it again, so I'm hoping that that was a good thing and hoped he had as good a time as I did.
There you have it! You now know I'm anxiously waiting to hear back from PCMC and hear that I got the job, and that I had a good date and am hoping I get to go out with this boy again!
Fin!

Yay! I totally hope BOTH of those work out, but I guess we'll see, huh? Either way, they were super good experiences :)
